dare to imagine

dare to imagine

dare to imagine

There’s something about the sun, and the way it rises and falls.

And there’s something about the way the wind licks the leaves, unceremoniously.

There’s something about the settling of night, after the heat of another day.

And there’s something about the rain, the way it smells, and how warm the sun feels when it decides to shine again.

There’s something about watching the seasons change.

And the tide – always high, then low – low, then high.

And there’s something about you that seems more beautiful than it ever was.

If we all carried the same light, darkness would never fall. And if the saddest, or happiest, story never ended, a new chapter would never have the chance to begin.

The time, it surely passes.

If this is real, let it be magnificent. And if it is not, let it be magnificent.

If you ever felt confounded by the complexities, of youth, then allow age to nurture the very part of yourself, that youth could not. Celebrate the consequence, of a life well lived, as dire as you may have previously considered it to be.

Allow yourself to see the positive, in the negative. And also, the negative in the positive. Neither is permanent.

For if you could only see, how bright your light shines, even when you feel it barely flickering.

If you only knew, how beautiful you really are…

I dare you to imagine.
